GTAVIING

Copyright & IP Policy

Last updated: October 2026
GTAVIing is an independent fan project about GTA 6. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, or any of their subsidiaries, and nothing on this site is authorised by them. If you own rights in something we have published and you believe we have got it wrong, tell us and we will look at it. Reports go to support@gtaviing.online with the subject "Copyright notice", or use the notice form below.

1. What this policy covers

This policy explains how intellectual property works on gtaviing.online: what we publish, what we own, what belongs to other people, and what happens when a rights holder contacts us. It applies to every part of the site - the intel archive, the Leonida map, the dossiers, the guides and PDF exports, the money tools, the Rep ladder, The Fixer AI, and the content visitors contribute.

It is separate from, and read together with, our Terms of Service (section 12 covers the licence and the enforcement of these rules) and our Privacy Policy (which governs personal information, not rights in works).

2. What we publish

Our own content

The site's design and code, its editorial copy, the curated structure of the intel database and dossiers, the calculators and their outputs, the downloadable guide documents, and the GTAVIing name and branding are ours. They are protected by copyright and are licensed to you only as the Terms allow (personal, non-commercial use; no republishing or resale).

Game artwork, names and marks

GTA 6, Vice City, Leonida and related names, logos and artwork belong to Rockstar Games / Take-Two Interactive and their licensors. Artwork on this site is sourced from the publishers' own public media pages and is used to identify and illustrate the subject of a dossier or a news claim - the ordinary, informational use a fan site makes of published promotional material. We do not sell that artwork, license it, offer it as a download library, or suggest any association with its owners. We will remove any of it on request from a rights holder.

Community content

Visitors can contribute a username (public on the Rep ladder, with an opt-out), votes on claims (aggregated into a count), correction and error reports, feedback, and questions to The Fixer AI. Chat messages and their history are private to the account and are deleted on the schedule the Privacy Policy sets out. We do not host a public file library: an image sent to The Fixer is a link passed to the AI provider for that one answer, not a file we publish.

By submitting content you confirm you have the right to send it. You keep ownership of what you send; you give us the limited licence needed to store it, display it on the feature you sent it to, and back it up - nothing more.

3. Our own conduct

4. If you believe your work is being infringed

Send us a written notice containing all of the following. This is the same information the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)) expects for a notice to be effective, and it is what Australian and other rights holders need too, so one form covers every route:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name in the form is enough).
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed - one work, or a representative list if several are covered by the same claim.
  3. Identification of the material you say is infringing, and its URL on gtaviing.online, specific enough for us to find it.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for them.
Section 512(f) warning: knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a notice can make the sender liable for damages, including the other side's costs and legal fees. Please be precise about what is yours, and check the URL before you send it.

5. Where to send a notice

Either route reaches the same person, and both are logged:

Designated copyright agent. Notices are handled by the GTAVIing operator as designated copyright agent. enquiries go to the address above. Registration of a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office is a filing the operator makes separately; until it is on file we do not claim the § 512 safe harbour for material we publish ourselves. We still review and act on every notice we receive, which is what sections 6 to 8 describe.

Notice / counter-notice form

6. What we do when a notice arrives

  1. We acknowledge it to the address you give, quoting a reference.
  2. We check the notice is complete (section 4). An incomplete notice gets a reply saying what is missing, not silence.
  3. We review the identified material against the claim. We may ask the account holder for their side, or check the source we originally took it from.
  4. Where the notice is substantiated, we remove or disable access to the material expeditiously - usually within a few business days - and we tell the account holder what was removed, if the material was contributed by one.
  5. We record the notice, the decision and the date. Repeated substantiated notices against one account are handled under section 8.

If we decide the material stays (for example because we hold a licence, the use is fair dealing, or the notice does not identify the work), we explain why in writing so you can take the matter further if you disagree.

7. Counter-notice and restoration

If your material was removed by us and you believe it was removed by mistake, send a counter-notice with the same form (choose "A counter-notice") containing:

  1. Your signature (typing your full name is enough).
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number and email address, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the district where you live (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.

On a valid counter-notice we forward it to the original notifier, wait 10 to 14 business days, and restore the material unless we are told that a court action to restrain it has been filed. We keep the record either way.

8. Repeat infringers

We terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe other people's rights. "Repeatedly" means more than one substantiated notice against the same account, or one notice that is deliberate and serious. Termination removes the account and its contributions; a paid plan on a terminated account is dealt with under the Refund & Return Policy.

9. Our use of publisher material

Screenshots and key art are used to identify subjects in dossiers and to illustrate claims - commentary and reporting, not redistribution. If you act for a publisher and would prefer a specific asset not be used, the notice form handles it like any other report: we will remove it and, where we can, say what replaced it. Nothing on this site is an official asset pack, and we do not provide original-resolution copies for reuse elsewhere.

10. Trademarks and fan content

GTA 6, Rockstar Games, Take-Two and related marks are trademarks of their owners and are used on this site for identification and commentary only. Visitor-contributed names that impersonate a company or a person are removed under the Terms (section 5). If you think a username or another contribution misuses your mark, use the form.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the process changes, and the month at the top will move with it. Material changes are announced to registered users the same way as changes to the Terms.
